Grant Activity in Ruthven, Iowa

The Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation held its 4th annual grant award ceremony on March 6th.  It was a widely attended event with several cities, groups, and organizations represented.  Ruthven was again highly rewarded for its efforts.  Nine different organizations including the City of Ruthven received grant monies totaling $173,976.18!  Ruthven also received its per capita money in the amount of $28,161.04.  Here is a list of grants connected to Ruthven and Lost Island.  For a complete list of grants awarded, click here.

Quasquicentennial/LIRBA Grant

This grant is from the PACGDC and is for the purchase of new tables and chairs in the social center, a new portable PA system, new banners for Gowrie, benches for Gowrie street, and more flower pots.  New tables are chairs are in the social center.  The flowers pots have been purchased and filled and new benches have appeared on Gowrie to make our downtown more appealing and a great place to visit with friends and family.

Website Grant

The website renovation for www.ruthvenlostisland.com was due in large part to a grant from the PACGDC! The PACGDC grant of $1060.52 and $359.77 in matching dollars from the City of Ruthven allowed for completion of the $1420.59 project.

Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation Grants

PACGDC were awarded on February 27, 2009.  Several dedicated individuals and organizations applied for grants through the PACGDC and as a result several area projects were awarded grant funds. Thank you to the persons who took the time to apply! Also thank you to the PACGDC and Wild Rose Casino!
